The U.S. National Whitewater Center has some amazing seasonal activities opening this year including their first ice skating rink.

If you are into being active you are going to these new additions. When I think of winter I automatically think of ice skating and hot cocoa afterward which I can now make a reality at the Whitewater Center.

The new 17,000 square feet ice skating rink is located on the Upper Pond of the whitewater river and had three different skating elements. There is a section for the free skate, winter sports, and a 600-foot ice trail. There will also be an area for hot chocolate and beer. I am so ready for this!

There will also be a half-mile walking trail featuring glowing mushrooms, hanging tree lights and more. It’s more like a magical walk to put you in the holiday mood. Ice skating can be accessed through an Annual Pass, Day Pass ($59) or Single Activity Pass ($20). Your skates are included in your activity purchase. The walking trail with lights is free. Parking at the center is not free, costing $6 per vehicle.

One thing I must say is, I have a gut feeling this is going to be a major hot spot this holiday season. We are about to see a lot of Instagram photos of this location.
