Millennials Are The Worst At Flirting
Millennials have apps to help us find a match based on beauty, location, heck even strictly farmers…but apparently, we don’t know what to do when we’ve found someone. At least that’s what Amy Nobile, the founder of dating concierge service “Love, Amy,” says about our generation.
She deals mostly in busy millennials and post-divorce boomers and says the main difference between them comes down to flirting. “Older generations are 100% better at flirting,” says Nobile. “And my millennial clients envy it.” Before you freak out that your mom is better at sexting than you, let us explain…
Since we prefer texting to speaking on the phone it’s tough set a flirty-tone over messenger. You can throw send as many winky face gifs as you want but it won’t ever compare to good old-fashioned voices.
So what can you do to be a better flirt? Pick up the phone and call your next match. Next, Nobile says not to do it not in a sexual way, “but in a warm, charming, or validating way.” If this doesn’t work, you could hire her to do “ghost bantering” where she takes control of your apps and does the chatting for you.
