Let’s face it, Halloween is really a month-long celebration. As soon as it says October on the calendar, America goes into full-on Halloween mode with decoration, candy, and costume purchases. The National Retail Federation (NRF) says the average shopper will spend $86.27 on Halloween this year, with 95% of their money will be spent on candy, while 72% will go towards decorations, and 67% will go towards costumes. According to the National Retail Federation’s data, this year’s most popular costume for kids is Princess, while adults are snatching up witch hats and brooms. Here are some other stats:
