Education is important, and the more education you have the better chances you’ll have once you get into the job market. Depending on where you live, some cities have more educated populations than others. These cities might surprise you.
WalletHub just came out with their list of the Most Educated Cities in the U.S., looking at 150 of the largest metropolitan areas and judging them on 11 factors, including share of adults 25 or older with a bachelor’s degree or higher, quality of public school system, quality of universities, gender education gap and more.

- Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV

- Boston-Cambridge-Newton, MA-NH

- Provo-Orem, UT
Ann Arbor, Michigan is the Most Educated City in America, with a score of 94.02 and ranking number one for education attainment and five for quality of education and attainment gap. Ann Arbor is home of the University of Michigan.
If you were wondering the least educated city in the U.S… that would be the Visalia-Porterville, California area, which scores only an 8.30 and is in the bottom five for both educational attainment and quality of education and attainment gap.
Charlotte is ranked 52nd with a total score of 56.27 and ranking 62 for educational attainment and 30 for quality of education and attainment gap.
