Vacations Are Good For Your Mental Health
Who doesn’t love a good vacation or get-a-way… It could be good for your mental health!
An International Travelzoo survey finds that people are more stressed this year than last. The study also reveals that 83% of respondents say taking vacations and wellness breaks to help them return feeling their best. 92% of respondents agree that mental health goes hand and hand with physical well being.
The most surprising statistic was that Germans are most likely to take these breaks, they are at 64%, while the U.S. is least likely at 10%.
Money and time are the two biggest issues most have with taking vacations but you can do a staycation. Staycations are vacations spent locally, at home and involving day trips to a local attraction. Go to the park, walking trails, sightsee again, read a book, catch up on your favorite shows, visit friends and family that you enjoy.
I feel everybody needs time away. I always make time to get away and it doesn’t always involve me spending money and yes, I feel so much better afterward.
Let us know, do you take vacations to protect your mental health? Do you wait until you are worn out before getting away? Do you need a vacation now!
