Taylor Swift Shut Down an Interviewer Who Asked Her About Having Kids
Taylor Swift shut down an interview question about whether or not she will have kids once she turns 30 later this year.
The singer refused to answer the question posed by German news agency Deustche Press-Agentur, speaking to what she saw as its sexist nature.
“I really don’t think that men would be asked this question when they turn 30,” Swift said. “So I’m not going to answer that now.”
Swift, who has been dating actor Joe Alwyn for two years, did share some insight as to what her 20s have been like.
“We are in our 20s looking to gain experience, try things out, fail, make mistakes,” she told DPA. “I definitely plan to try and fail (at) things in my 30s as well. But I expect that in our 30s, we feel a little better of who we are. The closer I get to it, the more I feel it happens.”
Swift also revealed that there will be some political undertones on her upcoming album.
She told DPA as translated by PopCrave , “I definitely think there are political undertones in the new music I made. I’m not planning to stop encouraging young people to vote and to try to get them to talk about what’s going on in our country. I think that’s one of the most important things I could do.”
While we don’t yet know an official release date for the album, we do know it will no doubt make quite the splash.
