If You Have Trouble Waking Up In The AM, Read This!
Here are some tips for waking up before 7 AM!
Since I’m an intern here for The MRL Show, I have to be at the radio station at 5 AM, which means I wake up at 3:30 AM since I don’t live close. Trust me, I’m crying typing this while you’re probably crying –for me– reading this. I need all the tips I can get for waking up early since my bed never wants me to leave it!
If you wake up before 7 AM, here are some tips to put some pep in your step:
- Wake up at the same time every day, even if it isn’t necessary. I can go ahead and say that this one is a no-go for me; if I don’t have to be somewhere at 5 AM, I’m staying in bed till 2 PM.
- Turn off your electronic devices at least an hour before bed. Again, this is another one that isn’t happening on my watch.
- Don’t keep your alarm clock next to your bed; put it across the room so it’s not as easy to hit snooze. Hmm, we’ll think on this one but it probably isn’t happening either.
- Leave your bedroom right away, and stretch to get the blood moving. No, not yoga(unless you’re down for that), just some light stretches to get moving.
- Drink water as soon as you wake up.
Believe it or not, the early morning wake up is not impossible! I had to learn, and it actually makes me feel productive once I get home. I have my whole day to spend, and I’m super awake all day, and then I go to bed even earlier at night. Then sleeping in all weekend… whoop whoop!!!
