Why Isn’t Your Man Texting You Back?

It’s 2018, so when we send a text and lightyears pass without a response (aka more than 10 minutes) we often get the wrong impression of the person. Get this…they may just be busy. Right?
We all want someone to text us back immediately, but what actually causes somebody not to do that? Are they ignoring us? Do they just not care? Nope, chances are…they really are just busy! We know busy isn’t the word you want to hear…so we have a list to break it down for you.
- Netflix or the game is On. If the texts are coming in intervals of about 8 to 12 minutes. Its because he is watching something and is waiting for a break so he can devote his time to giving you what he thinks is a well-written text.
- His phone is on the charger.
- He is asleep. when its late at night and let’s be honest…sometimes we fall asleep, even with the phone in our hand!
- Showering. You do want someone who showers, right? Give ’em a 15-minute break for this
- His Hands are all greased up and can’t grab his phone. If there is no napkins in front of him. you’ll just have to wait for him to be done with his sandwich.
- Video games. We know this won’t likely be your favorite excuse but old habits die hard!
- he is working out. You do want him to work out, right?
- the fan favorite… he is thinking of a thoughtful response.
- He is in a important meeting. unless its an emergency, work comes first. He’ll get to you.
- His phone is dead and doesn’t know it.
- He is driving and is waiting for a safe time to respond back. Never support texting and driving!
