The Worst Winter Games Skier In Pyeongchang
If you’re like us then you’ve probably thought to yourself at least once during this year’s Winter Games, “that looks easy – I could do that!” Well, Elizabeth Swaney puts a whole new meaning to that thought.
Elizabeth Swaney is an American skier competing for Hungary in Pyeongchang. She found a loophole to secure a spot at the 2018 Winter Games. The qualification process involves achieving a certain number of top-30 World Cup finishes. Swaney accomplished that by achieving thirteen of them. How did she do it? She simply showed up and competed at the events where there were fewer than thirty athletes competing.

Her run was interesting, to say the least, and there was no surprise that she finished in the last place on Monday and will not be competing in Tuesday’s final.
She may not mind though because she became an internet sensation overnight.
Elizabeth Swaney, a recruiter at Thumbtack, worked the system to get on the Hungarian Olympic team and then dropped this run down the halfpipe. I'm dying. https://t.co/40bYtvKuIf
