We’re All Cringing At Fergie’s Attempt At The National Anthem
We think it’s safe to say you have never heard the National Anthem like this…and it’s probably been for the best.
The Internet is a ruthless place.
Fergie sang the National Anthem at last night’s NBA All-Star Game. Many celebrities have sang the National Anthem throughout their years at various events and all will say it is a very nerve-racking experience. If you so much as miss one word, you’ll be critiqued for a long time to come. Fergie didn’t forget any words but she is now the victim of the Internet after last night’s performance.
From a musical standpoint it seemed that Fergie was having a hard time hitting the song’s high notes, so she sang it in a type of sexy tune. Some people downright hated it while others couldn’t help but compare it to Marilyn Monroe singing “Happy Birthday” to JFK.
