The event includes an opportunity to deep-dive into the diverse offerings, ranging from traditional public and private schools to magnet, charter, online, homeschooling, and micro-schooling options. The phrase micro schooling means that your student will gather in small groups with adult supervision to learn, explore, and socialize. Think of micro-schooling as a personalized education which might be a great option for students to learn and explore.
A recent study conducted by the Thomas B. Fordham Institute
This study looked into charter, private, and homeschools in the nation’s largest school district. This study revealed that 80% of students in grades 1st to 8th grade across large districts, including Charlotte, preferred district-run schools. This highlights that there is only modest competitive pressure in the top 125 U.S. school districts. The study recommends diverse educational options as a valuable strategy for enhancing traditional public schools, making it a compelling topic to explore during National School Choice Week.
