More Fun In Uptown Charlotte
Remember the old days when you got the kids ready to Uptown Charlotte for the Thanksgiving Day Parade? This year the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade is virtual. But, you can still enjoy some free outdoor activities and eat “alfresco” with the Street Eats program as you safe and socially distance. So get ready to #ShowUpForUptown! There will be free street entertainers, that moving outdoor mystery theatre that I told you about in the last blog.
Spread the word that you can still have Street Eats outside of some of your favorite restaurants, they’ll be two ways to shop for local veggies, local delicious food and specialty items…plus free or $1 parking…and what, the what? Panthers Game Day?? It’s all happening in Uptown Charlotte this weekend, Consider this an open invitation to all to #ShowUpForUptown as they add new and exciting activities this weekend. These continuing and new initiatives from Charlotte Center City Partners, Blumenthal Performing Arts, the City, CRVA and others are in support of retail and hospitality businesses and restaurants in Uptown and will happen every weekend through year-end. Mark your calendars for every weekend, and remember that they are closing specific blocks of Tryon Street in Charlotte with a phased approach starting with the block between 5th and 6th Streets from Friday at 5:00pm through Sunday at 9:00pm. Cross streets will remain open. Come experience the activation in Uptown Charlotte! Visit UPTownCharlotte.com for more details.
