Car Accident In South Carolina Claims The Life Of Pregnant Woman In Labor
Heartbreaking news to report out of South Carolina today.
A tragic car accident occurred last night in Darlington County and claimed the lives of five individuals, including a pregnant woman and her unborn child.
At the time of the crash, the people inside the vehicle were headed to the hospital as the pregnant woman was in labor.
According to WNCN, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned. Several occupants were thrown from the vehicle during the ordeal.
11 people were inside the vehicle at the time the deadly accident occurred.
The deceased individuals have been identified as 52-year-old Leonard Rouse, 14-year-old Nakisha Rouse, pregnant Chikari Douglas-Rouse and her unborn baby, and an infant who was also a passenger in the vehicle.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
