Marvel in Talks With Miley Cyrus for X-Men Role as Hugh Jackman, Kelsey Grammer Return
Marvel fans continue to pitch Miley Cyrus to play Rogue in an upcoming X-Men movie.
At 32, the pop-star-turned-actress fits Marvel’s goal of bringing new talent to its next wave of movies. The studio is keeping quiet about when the film might come out.
Rogue, a mutant from the South, has the power to steal memories and abilities by touching someone’s skin. Marvel has a record of picking perfect actors, such as Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.
Jackman’s comeback is his first since his powerful performance in “Logan” (2017). His collaboration with Grammer suggests we’ll see a full X-Men team movie.
The new X-Men speculation adds to Marvel’s already-packed schedule. The next movie heading to theaters, “Captain America: Brave New World,” comes out Feb. 14, 2025.
From her start in “Hannah Montana” to her role in “The Last Song,” Cyrus has shown she can act in both TV shows and movies. As Marvel’s universe keeps expanding, each casting mixes new stars with familiar faces.
