North Carolina Mountain Hotel One Of The Best New Hotels Of The Year
Looking for a new place to stay? One of North Carolina’s favorite mountain vacation spots has a new hotel that is receiving high praise. Travel + Leisure just published a list of the “The 100 Best New Hotels of the Year” and North Carolina is represented by an Asheville Hotel.
Asheville is already home to world-famous lodging options including the Omni Grove Park Inn and the Inn at Biltmore among others. But joining the ranks is a downtown hotel (something the city has been missing). But the new Restoration Asheville fills that void and fills it well.
The Best New Hotels
Asheville marks the second property for The Restoration Hotel Collection the first and flagship property is located in Charleston. The Restoration Asheville is located on Patton St in downtown Asheville just steps from the heart of the city. This boutique hotel of 60 rooms is “inspired by the free-spirited culture of the local community”.
Here you’ll find a restaurant- The Exchange a “farm-to-table restaurant” that offers a “fresh take on Appalachian cuisine”. Additionally, there are two bars The Draftsman, in the basement bar serving local beers with arcade games, a bowling alley, and skeeball. And the one that sounds most enticing to me- is a rooftop bar called The Observatory which is said to have a botanical feel with views of downtown and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.
As popular as the city of Asheville is I’m sure The Restoration Hotel will have no trouble succeeding in the market. You can learn more about the property and start planning your trip here.
