Starbucks To Discontinue One of its Flavored Syrups
Starbucks is doing some spring cleaning by discontinuing one of its flavored syrups. Rumors about a menu change began swirling on TikTok due to a viral video. The video, which has over 500,000 views, showed what looked like an internal memo. The employee showed off the printed document that said the raspberry-flavored syrup will no longer be on the menu.
“It’s true, raspberry syrup will be discontinued by the end of March,” reads the on-screen caption printed on the alleged internal memo.
The memo had a section titled “inventory updates.” It read: “raspberry syrup will be discontinued by the end of March to make room for new innovations, like developing new syrup flavors.”
The memo dated March 13 – March 19.
TODAY.com confirmed the news with a Starbucks spokesperson.
“As a standard course of business, we continually evaluate the ingredients in our stores, and have decided to discontinue raspberry syrup,” a Starbucks spokesperson told the outlet. “Customers can expect limited inventory at stores throughout March as we remove it from our menu.”
The raspberry syrup is used in items such as the Raspberry Chiffon White Mocha and secret menu items: White Chocolate Raspberry, Mocha Raspberry Lemonade, and Raspberry Cheesecake Mocha Frappuccino.
The following syrup flavors still available at Starbucks at this time:
- Brown Sugar
- Caramel
- Cinnamon Caramel
- Cinnamon Dolce
- Hazelnut
- Peppermint
- Sugar-Free Vanilla
- Toasted Vanilla
- Toffee Nut
