It’s no secret “Triple D” famed chef, Guy Fieri, loves North Carolina restaurants.  He gives our food scene a lot of love on his “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” show.  Now, Guy Fieri showcases North Carolina Beach eateries in a family reunion event airing Friday night at 9 p.m. on Food Network.  Perhaps the love Fieri has for North Carolina has something to do with the time he spent on the Crystal Coast growing up.  During this family reunion, Guy highlights the beaches and favorite places to eat in the area sentimental to him.  This event takes place 10 years after his last big family reunion on the Outer Banks.  This time the family is set to enjoy an Italian feast, blue crab boil, prime rib and lobster, barbeque and candy apples.  Guy also shares memories and fried shrimp and hushpuppies at a beloved seafood restaurant he enjoyed as a kid.

And, as we mentioned, he brings his “Triple D” show here a lot.  He taped in the Cateret County area this summer.  Those segments featured Shepard Barbeque in Emerald Isle, Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant and Bar in Atlantic Beach.  Also, he stopped in at Floyd’s 1921 and Sanitary Fish Market and Restaurant in Morehead City.  Guy’s relatives join him for this event to reminisce and play games. Guy loves playing games!

Production company Citizen Pictures, shared news of the reunion special on its social media platforms.  Citizen Pictures started out small in 1984 and became an Emmy-winning television production and content hub.  Interestingly, they work out of a 1940’s converted shoe warehouse.   Guy is a huge part of their platform with many variations of his shows.   A few of those include Guy’s Family Road Trip, Guy’s Family Cruise and Guy’s Feeding Frenzy during shark week.  I’ll never forget watching when Guy almost got lost from the group during a shark dive!

So, make sure you tune in Friday night at 9 p.m. when Guy Fieri showcases North Carolina beach eateries!
