List of 2022 Food Recalls
When hearing about the recall of Pinsol cleaning products, made me investigate foods we should avoid during the holidays. Who recalls foods at the grocery store? Food Safety and Inspection Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. FSIS issues recall on meat, poultry, and egg products. U.S Food and Drug Administration issues recall on other food for human consumption as well as pet food and animal feed. Rocky Road Trail Mix was recalled because of glass pieces found in a lot of chocolate-covered peanuts. Another one is Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand Pine Nut Hummus because of mold issues. Nestlé USA is recalling ready-to-bake refrigerated NESTLÉ Toll House stuffed chocolate chip cookie dough with fudge. You might discover white plastic pieces. The products were produced between June and September this year and distributed in the continental United States and Puerto Rico.
Let’s not forget about baby formula made by Abbott. They’re initiating a recall of certain lots of 2-ounce/59-milliliter bottles of Ready-to-Feed liquid products for infants and children. This includes brands Similac Pro-Total Comfort, Similac 360 Total Care, Similac 360 Total Care Sensitive, and more. These products are being recalled because some bottles in the recalled lots have bottle caps that may not have been sealed completely, resulting in spoilage.
