Not far from Charlotte, North Carolina is Charleston with some of the most famous seafood and traditional fare. From roasted oysters, garlic crabs, and shrimp and grits. I would be remiss if not mentioning the history of cities related to their food. In the spring of 1670, more than 150 English colonists, their servants, and enslaved known as disembarking what we know as Charleston harbor. The first name, Charles Town, was given to it in honor of King Charles II. The settlement was in an excellent strategic location, so it had more than 1,000. Charleston’s food is famous for their Lowcountry staples like, Poogan’s Porch and Slightly North of Broad.
