DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - JULY 01: A waiter sets a table at Armani/Kaf, the first Kosher-certified restaurant in the UAE, inside the ultra luxurious Armani Hotel at the base of the Burj Khalifa on July 01, 2021 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The restaurant became a kosher certified dining location for the local Jewish community and Jewish tourists in early 2020, before the Abraham Accords were signed and the coronavirus pandemic shuttered restaurants and hotels throughout the UAE. It reopened in a new location within the hotel in September 2020, this time openly toting its kosher credentials. Dubai's Jewish community has been increasingly visible after the United Arab Emirates normalized relations with Israel as part of last summer's Abraham Accords. The deal spurred more formal economic cooperation between the countries, while more businesses in Dubai, including newly opened kosher restaurants, are catering to Jewish customers. Talk about a good table! Most people try to tip about 20%, but for one server she walked away with much more than that. One lucky server in North Carolina was fortunate enough to get a $1,000 tip from a former NFL player during their shift.
Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is a former professional football player. He was dining at Stephanie’s Restaurant II in Greensboro, North Carolina when he decided to do a good deed for the day. According to his Twitter post, he had a $24.39 bill for his meal. Instead of calculating a normal 20% tip, he decided to leave his server a $1,000 tip. On the receipt, he left a message that read, “I once scored a touchdown in Madden using myself.” Near the bottom, he signs, “I love you.” Can you imagine what that server felt after seeing that tip? What would you have done if it was you?
