Mom’s Joke of Putting Her Baby in ‘Heels’ Causes Backlash
A mom posted a video to TikTok of her baby walking around in “heels,” causing many concerned viewers to voice their criticisms in the comments section.
In the clip, which has amassed over 53,000 views as of today (July 13), the baby girl can be seen struggling to walk, though it is obvious she is being supported by her parent. The baby’s sparkling silver “heels” were accessorized with baby pink polka dot socks. Iggy Azalea’s “Work” is being played in the seven-second clip with the line: “walk a mile in these Louboutins.”

“What’re you playing at!!” wrote one concerned viewer, while another commented, “I can see you’re just trying to have fun showing us but not safe really for r babies feet.”
“One way to break your babies ankle if she were to go over on it,” one person said.
“Really?? Let’s completely ruin your child’s feet – what exceptional parents you are NOT,” complained another.
Enough hate spread around for the mother to respond with a comment of her own. Apparently, she bought the shoes from Build-A-Bear Workshop and it was just supposed to be a funny joke. “They ARE BUILD A BEAR SHOES THEY ARE SOFT AND HER HANDS WAS BEING HELD thank you for all your concerns,” she said.
Those who knew it was a joke took to the mom’s defense, with one user commenting, “Well that’s just the best please watch the comments. As if the child wears them daily. Why’s everyone so serious, it’s a joke like.”
Another joked, “I get all the hate comments IF she wore them daily.. I’d so put builder bear shoes on my girl for a laugh but she’s 18 now.”
