Charlotte, North Carolina Is One Of America’s Top Moving Destinations

Americans aren't moving as much as they used to, but plenty of people are still coming to the Q.C. According to the annual Top 10 Moving Destinations report from Penske Truck Rental, Charlotte was one of the most popular cities in 2021.

CNBC report that U.S. Census Bureau data shows only 8.4% of people changed residency in 2021, the lowest rate since 1948. Apparently, this has nothing to do with the pandemic. The numbers have been low for five years now.

The folks who have been moving, though, appear to have been looking for warm weather. Southwestern cities dominate the 2021 list, with Houston, Las Vegas, and Phoenix taking the top three spots. Charlotte is back on the list for the first time since 2017.
