Suit Up Charlotte, FACET & BRAVE STEP are the nonprofits featured in this post. If you missed Giving Tuesday there is still time. BRAVE STEP is a survivor-led nonprofit providing services that help adults impacted by sexual violence. Besides having public conversations around sexual violence, they cultivate courageous changemaker opportunities to join in on the conversation. Adults impacted by sexual abuse can reclaim the life they deserve.
Another nonprofit is FACET. Faith In Action Community and Educational Transition (FACET) Services, Inc. offers specialized resources to assist homeless women, and those at risk for becoming homeless, in the Charlotte community. They support women transitioning out of the YWCA’s Families Together Program, Harvest Center of Charlotte and Center of Hope. Because of so many ways of giving, check out FACET’s Amazon page as well. Another great nonprofit is Suit Up Charlotte. SUC inspires men in transition by offering professional suits for job interviews. In addition they offer a professional development series, and since the pandemic, they offer their Haberdashery inside a mobile unit to continue sowing seeds so these amazing men propel with excellence.
