Catching Up With Cameron: Things To Do In Charlotte For Halloween Weekend
It’s Halloween weekend! Halloween may fall on a Sunday this year, but there are tons of different Halloween-themed events to check out all weekend long. Here’s a list of all the events, and different things going on around Charlotte this weekend.
FRIDAY
- Since 2004, residents of the Elizabeth neighborhood have carved pumpkins and displayed them in rows along a wall. Each year, there’s a one-word message like “peace” or “vote.” This year’s word will be revealed during a lighting ceremony on Friday at 6:45pm and will remain up through Monday, Nov. 1.

Spooktown at Skiptown
- See the dog costumes during Skiptown’s 13 Days of Halloween event.
- Now through Oct. 31.
- Free.
- The event features more than 500 monsters, ghosts and goblins roaming around the park, plus plenty of haunted attractions and shows. If that’s a little too scary, try the Great Pumpkin Fest for your family instead.
- Now through Oct. 31. 7pm-midnight.

- Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 21. 10am-5:30pm.
- $27 for adults, $17 for children under 12.
- Expect haunted bowling, a costume contest (with $100 gift card prize), live music, fall beers and pumpkin spice frosé.

- Bojangles Coliseum
- The rapper stops in Charlotte on his “El Young King” tour.

- Camp North End
- The century-old former car factory will transform for this free Halloween party with live music and various food and drink options.

NoDa Brewing’s 10-year anniversary party
- Celebrate the brewery’s decade mark at this weekend-long bash with special beer releases, axe throwing, brewery tours, costume contests and more.

- Resident Culture
- Get your hot dog fix with Patty & The Dogs’ food truck.
- 2-5pm.
- Camp North End
- Go trick-or-treating with the whole family across the 76-acre campus.
- 6-8pm.
- Free.

- It’s the last weekend to shop the Simpsons Produce farmers market for the season.
- 6am-7pm Friday and 6am-3pm Saturday.
- Free.
- Knight Theater
- Conductor Roderick Cox, one of the few Black conductors in the world, will guest conduct this weekend’s concerts.
- 7:30pm Friday and Saturday.

SATURDAY
Rich & Bennett’s 20th Annual Halloween Pub Crawl
- Put on your costume and get in the Halloween mood with an Uptown bar crawl. Expect drink specials, a costume contest and swag.
- Check-in is 1-3pm.

- Visit four breweries — D9, Lost Worlds, Beer Lab by Ghostface and Hoptown — on this guided tour with 12 beer tastings. Departs from Kilted Buffalo in Mooresville.

Petty Thieves’ Halloween Party
- For more beer, head to one of Charlotte’s newest breweries, Petty Thieves, for games, candy and a cover band battle.

- Run four miles (or just the “monster” mile) at this Uptown race.

- See local art in Freedom Park.
- Saturday, 11am-6pm; Sunday, 11am-5pm.

- Moo & Brew
- Yacht rock bands, burgers and beer, and a costume contest.

- Unwind at Anne Springs Close Greenway with yoga every Saturday.

- South End
- This bar crawl through South End features hot spots like Charlotte Beer Garden, Hoppin, Slate, Slingshot and more. Drink and food specials at each spot.

- $15 day of, advance tickets are sold out.
- Sweet Lew’s
- Head to the Belmont neighborhood barbecue joint for $10 mimosa buckets, yard games and a costume contest.
- Birdsong
- Dress your dog in their Halloween best and enter to win prizes at Birdsong’s pet-friendly Halloween party.
- 1-4pm.

SUNDAY
- Hot Taco
- Admission is $10 and there will be a special food and drink menu you can indulge in.
- 11am.
- $10+.
Hornets vs. Portland Trail Blazers
- 7pm.
- $10.50+.
- Bojangles Coliseum
- This festival and marching band battle will takeover Bojangles Coliseum all day with a street festival ahead of the five-band showdown at 5pm.
- $14.95+.
- Devil’s Logic Brewing
- This weekly bike ride concludes with brunch and beers at the Elizabeth brewery.
- 9-10am.
- Free.
- A Halloween bar crawl in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. Legion also has free tarot card readings.
- 5-9pm.
- Free.
- Protagonist
- $4 mimosas. Choose from orange, pomegranate, cranberry, and grapefruit juice. All day.
- $4/drink.
- 2100 block of East 5th St.
- Expect a haunted house and spooky performances and decorations in the yard. Mask required for indoor portions.

- Free, $5 donation toward SPCA appreciated.
