Make sure to check station prices every time you get gas: drivers can save $200 per year by checking gas prices in their area before their fill-ups.

Where Can You Get Gas In Charlotte? Lots and lots of people are currently asking this question.

It’s the biggest news of the week- the gas shortage and Colonial Pipeline. A lot of the shortage is people panic buying. But what do you do if you actually are running out of gas?

I’m embarrassed to admit that I was one of those people sitting in line for gas yesterday. I was lucky enough to find some- but only saw 2 stations with any. If you NEED gas, and I’m talking 1/4 of a tank or less, then here are some stations in Charlotte that are currently (as of around 10 am Wednesday) that they have gas.

Gas Buddy has a tracker on their website that shows you who currently has gas in stock. Follow this link instead of searching as the server is currently overwhelmed.

Stations are still receiving shipments and the issues seem to be demand-related and not supply-related. If you do not currently need gas it is best to wait. Currently 25% of North Carolina stations are without gas with higher portions in the metro areas.

Keep in mind that these are just stations to start at. Supply is constantly changing so please be patient. Call ahead if you’re worried and be prepared to wait in long times. Try to limit any unnecessary trips and don’t waste the gas you have driving around and trying to find some. Remember to be courteous to those waiting in line and employees.

Let us know if you have found gas any other places!
