Remembering Heath Ledger On The 13th Anniversary Of His Death
Fans are remembering late Australian actor Heath Ledger today for the 13th anniversary of his death.
Ledger starred in many movies including The Patriot, Monster’s Ball, The Brothers Grimm, Casanova, I’m Not There, Candy, and Brokeback Mountain. But, I’d say his more popular roles were Patrick Verona from 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) and The Joker in The Dark Knight (2008).
Many people say that Ledger’s portrayal of The Joker was the best that’s ever been done. He even posthumously won several awards for the role. These include the 2008 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture in 2009.
In January of 2008, Ledger overdosed on several prescribed medications at the age of 28. Fans were absolutely devastated to hear the news and many are still paying tribute to his life 13 years later.
Many fans took to Twitter to post their favorite pictures of Ledger and say a few words on his talent. His work seems to have inspired many and it is through his work that his legacy will live on.
