Glam Your COVID-19 Mask Up
Wearing a face mask is not our favorite thing to do, but if we have to do it, let’s glam them up, right? On the serious side of COVID-19, individuals should be careful not to touch eyes, nose, and mouth when removing their face covering and wash hands immediately after removing. If you’ve been to the grocery store lately, it’s an ordeal to enter back into the house with groceries because everything has to be wiped down.
When you go to the grocery store do you take the kids? The CDC suggests that cloth face coverings be placed on young children under age 2 years of age. How fancy is your mask? The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.
If you have to wear a mask, everyone should, but some people don’t and that’s their prerogative, but it makes us wonder if they’ll get the virus. The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
