At Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC, we know nothing is more important than the health of your child. As the largest children’s hospital in the southeast, we provide an unmatched level of expert care in more than 30 areas of pediatric medicine in a child-friendly, child-focused, family-centered atmosphere.
Levine Children’s Hospital is the most comprehensive children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington, DC, helping children receive high-quality care close to home and family, no matter what their medical needs. The hospital offers the region’s only solid organ pediatric transplant program (heart, kidney, and liver) and the only pediatric blood and marrow transplant program in the region. It is the only hospital in the region offering pediatric hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis and is the second-largest pediatric dialysis unit in the nation.
The hospital employs team members, dedicated to providing psychosocial and emotional support for hospitalized children, and helping explain hospital procedures and treatments in age-appropriate ways. One amazing thing I love when I visited the hospital was that it features a playroom on every floor of the hospital, providing children the opportunity for fun, safe and supportive play, in a “safe-zone,” where no medical procedures take place.
