Give Your Input To Mecklenburg County
You’re input matters, but you have to submit before January 8th. It’s called FY2021 and it’s about the Resident Budget Priority Survey and the Meck Budget Simulator tool. The Simulator tool is FUN!!!! Mecklenburg County is asking your opinion of how you want to allocate dollars. Would you spend more money on education or environment? How about criminal justice, economic development or affordable housing? Here’s the link.
As of today the Resident Budget Priority Survey is available, but only until Jan. 8, 2020. Find the survey on the County’s website www.MeckNC.gov and it can be accessed in 100 different languages!!! If you know of a senior citizen that needs a paper version, please pick one up for them at one of three of our senior centers in Mecklenburg County, or check out 19 library locations. Don’t worry, they survey is available in English and Spanish.
If you’re adventurous and like simulators, then try the “Meck Budget Simulator” because it allows residents to prepare their own version of the budget by adjusting expenses and revenues. Results of the survey and the Meck Budget Simulator will be shared with the Board of County Commissioners during their annual retreat in January. Do it, you might like it!
