New Apple In Town
There’s a new apple in town. Seriously a new breed of apple called a Cosmic Crisp that’s crispy and juicy. It’s a cross between those awesome honey crispt apples and traditional gala apple.
Since Washington grows over 60 percent of apples it’s appropriate for the Cosmic Crisp to be conceived in the State. And I hear that this apple has enough acidity to not turn brown as quick. Is that a good thing? They’re also saying this apple can last up to a year in the fridge. WOW! I can’t wait to try it. Charlotte shoppers, we’ll have to wait because apple lovers at the University Village QFC will be the first to try it.
