Moving Can Be Stressful
Moving can be a stressful time, but it doesn’t have to be if you plan it out properly. The first thing is to sit down and write out all of the things that need to get done before the move. This is important because there are things that need to get done and things we want to get done. We all have our fair share of projects around the house that we wanted to complete, like that vegetable garden in the backyard, Unfortunately, the time to complete projects you want to do has passed, and there is plenty that will need to get done.
Once the list is complete, rank them in order of priority to make sure the most important things get done first. Don’t forget to get the family involved as well. Delegate tasks to everyone to help get things completed. One often over looked task when moving is downsizing your belongings. Everyone has a box or two that they haven’t opened since the last time they moved. It usually sits on the back of a closet somewhere, but it doesn’t get gone through or thrown out because they’re either isn’t the time or you might need those items someday. Now is the time to go through those old boxes and decide what is really needed. By planning properly and reducing you belongings, a move will be a much easier and more enjoyable experience.
