First Over-the-Counter Medicine Free Store to Open in July in Charlotte
The first Over-the-Counter Medicine Free Store is set to open July 18th in the Charlotte area courtesy of NC MedAssist.
MedAssist is excited to announce the OTC Medicine Free Store for low income individuals and it’s ribbon cutting ceremony. The ribbon cutting will be Wednesday, July 18th at 9:00 am at NC MedAssist (4428 Taggart Creek Road, Suite 101, Charlotte, NC 28208).
The OTC Free Store is funded by Cardinal Innovations Healthcare and is designed for low-income individuals to shop for OTC medication for themselves and their families. The way it works is that every 30 days, shoppers will have the chance to take home five selected OTC medication items for free. This is to ensure that families don’t have to choose between necessary groceries or medication. The OTC Free Store is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older and lives in North Carolina.
