Spring is HERE! and that means its time to get outside and do SOMETHING FUN! Thankfully, Charlotte’s got a whole lot of exciting things like breweries, parks, entertainment and so much more to explore, that we wanted to share with you some of this weekends must dos!
Visit the U.S. National Whitewater Center on April 20th for Tuck Fest featuring 13 different bands! The event is from 8 am till 11 pm and you can enjoy the water, sunshine, food and many outdoor activities the center offers. (One of my favorite activities is the zipline!)
If you want to celebrate Earth day head over to Ballantyne’s Earth Day Celebration. This is a free event and is from 11:30 am till 1:30 pm and features music, a farmer’s market, food truck fare, on-site dog adoptions, great giveaways and over 40 local vendors showcasing their sustainable efforts or green products.
Have you ever watched people climb trees? Maybe you want to give it a shot? Well, Saturday, April 21st you can head over to Freedom Park for the annual tree climbing competition. Featuring some of the worlds best professional tree climbers, this event is sure to be hype!
Enjoy some cajun and bluegrass like you are in the heart of Louisana. Olde Meck is hosting a Louisiana Spring Festival this Saturday and Sunday and its free to attend. You can enjoy some live Cajun and bluegrass music and purchase some authentic Louisana native foods like jambalaya, boiled shrimp, and crawdads.
It’s a proven fact that singing relives stress (look it up) so why not go sing your heart out this Sunday at Snug Harbor with their free karaoke! More details can be found on their website.
Have fun this weekend Charlotte!
