Show Us Your Keys Please
Quiktrip and CMPD teamed up to raise awareness to the greater Charlotte area for a recent increase in car theft.
On Tuesday, CMPD officers at five Quiktrip locations were offering a free hot drink or soda to customers who did not leave their keys in the car. This effort is a result of 282 vehicle thefts just in the month of January, and 38% were because of the driver leaving their keys in the ignition. Obviously when someone leaves their keys in the ignition, it makes it much easier to jack someones car. So don’t forget guys, remember your keys!
