Couple Makes Guests Pay To Attend Their Wedding
An English couple is charging their guests a $200 fee to come to their wedding. Before you judge them too harshly, check out their reasoning behind the request.
Ben and Claire are set to get married next year, and they thought up a controversial idea that would have the guests help pay for their wedding fees. The money the guests are asked to pay would cover the guests’ accommodations for the wedding weekend. This includes food and drinks, as well as the use of the spa and the swimming pool. The groom to be sees this as an opportunity for the guests to have a mini vacation. It’s actually incredibly smart of the couple, because the venue offered the couple a package that included the wedding venue free if they filled up all the rooms on the property. It seems like a great option for guests coming from out of town, however it might be a little ridiculous to expect local guests to pay the fee. Regardless of this request the couple is asking, we wish them a happy wedding day, and hope everyone who wants to be their is able to make it.
