Would You Let Your Employer Put A Microchip In Your Finger For Work?
A U.S. company has announced that it plans to install microchips in its employees fingers — but swears there will be no GPS tracking!
Courtesy of an article by Daily Mail, we found out that Three Square Market, a Wisconsin-based company that designs software for break room markets, is about to become the first company in the United States to offer microchip implants for its employees. The microchips will be voluntarily inserted under the skin between the thumb and the forefinger (yuck) and will be used to scan items within the break room for purchase, which can then be paid for with a credit card. As cool of an idea as this sounds like, is it really necessary to have all of this done just for an easier checkout process in the break room? I mean, each microchip costs $300! Either way, however, this is nevertheless a step in the right direction in terms of technology!
