Amazon Meal Kits Are Coming and They Look Amazing
Meal delivery services have become incredibly popular, and for good reason.
They’re so much more convenient than digging up a recipe, then heading to the store to grab the ingredients before you go home and actually cook the dish. Amazon is the latest brand to get in on the trend with their new Amazon Fresh meal kits.
While the concept is still being unrolled slowly depending on where you live, people living in cities like Seattle are able to order a variety of types of food, including Chicken Tikka Masala and a Veggie Quinoa bowl.
The company boasts that each box serves two people, and goes from box to table in just about a half hour. Customers have 17 boxes in total to choose from right now, with prices comparable to other meal delivery services.
However, at about $20 per kit, the offerings still aren’t quite competitive with what it would cost you to grab the ingredients on your own at the grocery store. There’s no word yet on when Amazon Fresh kits will be available nationwide.
