Is Black Panther 3 Coming? Denzel Washington Says a Role is Being Written For Him
Is Black Panther 3 on its way? Marvel has not officially confirmed anything, but in a recent interview, Denzel Washington hinted at a Black Panther 3 and the possibility of him making an appearance in the film.
After Black Panther 2, I think everyone is hoping to make a return to Wakanda with Black Panther 3. Washington recently did an interview with Australia’s The Today Show discussing what he had coming up next for his career.
Washington, who is 69 years old, has been in the acting business for nearly 5 decades. “At this point in my career, I’m only interested in working with the best, I don’t know how many more films I will make, probably not that many. I want to do things that I haven’t done,” said Washington. His plans for the future though seem like he will be playing in quite a bit for a few more years.
Denzel Washington Hints at Black Panther 3
“I played Othello at 22, I’m now going to play it at 70,” said Washington. “After that, I’m playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking with Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther.”
Marvel has not confirmed that a Black Panther 3 will be coming, but many are hoping so. The franchise has been successful since the first installment in 2018. The movie brought in more than $1.3 billion and starred actors Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, and the late, Chadwick Boseman.
Following Boseman’s death in 2020, the franchise released Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which was a tribute to the late actor and a continuation of the story of Black Panther. Now, almost 5 years later, will a Black Panther 3 be coming?
