Spirit Airlines Adds New Nonstop Flight From Charlotte to This Popular Destination

Looking for somewhere new to travel from Charlotte? If there’s one thing about traveling on a plane that hate the most, it’s connecting flights. I am a person who would prefer to just have to sit on one plane, one time, and land directly at my destination. Too many stops, layovers, and breaks in between just don’t allow me to enjoy the complete travel experience. Plus, I have a fear of losing my luggage and my thought process is, that the more stops the more opportunities for my bag to disappear.

Nonstop Flight from Charlotte to Where?

One of the most affordable airlines, Spirit Airlines, is adding a new nonstop flight from Charlotte to one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Where might you ask? New Orleans!! That’s right, the airline confirmed that starting in October there will be a nonstop flight from Charlotte Douglas to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. If you are someone who is consistently flying Spirit or looking for a cheaper airline to visit the city, here might be your chance.

The route from Charlotte to New Orleans will operate 5 days a week and allow you the chance to fly on Mondays and Thursdays – Sunday. So, if you were wanting to visit New Orleans for a weekend here is your chance. According to Spirit’s website, basic fare is starting at $65 and you are already able to book starting now!

That equates to around 118,000 people traveling through the airport daily. That’s a lot of people. Because of that you’ll find a wide variety of flights leaving from here. Concord Regional Airport

Concord mainly serves private flights but does operate two commercial airlines out of the airport. While destinations are limited, this can be a great affordable option for those traveling.
