South Carolina City Lands On Top Cities To Start A Career List
College students across the country will be graduating in the coming weeks and they’ll be preparing to enter the job market for the first time. Welcome to the jungle baby!! Where they decide to do that can make a big difference and a new report reveals the cities that may make it easier. A South Carolina has landed on the top cities to start a career list put out by WalletHub.
They ranked 182 cities across the country on 26 key metrics in the areas of Professional Opportunities and Quality of Life. They were compared on factors including the amount of entry-level jobs, average starting salary, commute time and housing affordability.
This year’s best city to start a career is Atlanta, Georgia, which comes in first for Professional Opportunities and seventh for Quality of Life. Charleston, South Carolina made the top 10 list at #7. Charleston is one of the top cities to start a career for a lot of reasons. Food is a nice place to start. Head out to lunch in one of their great spots to eat! I just did a blog not to long ago where Charleston was on the top food list. They have great restaurants! Wallet Hub scored Charleston a 12 for job opportunities and a 15 for quality of life. Close to big cities like Atlanta and Charlotte, close to the beaches and great weather all weighed in I’m sure.
The Rest Of The Top 10 Cities To Start A Career
Austin, Texas, eighth overall, is number one for Quality of Life. At the bottom of the list is New York City, 182nd overall, making it the worst city for starting a career.
