Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In Charlotte North Carolina Set To Expire

If you bought a lottery ticket this spring you may want to try to find it. A winning lottery ticket was sold in Charlotte in May and it’s about to expire at the end of this week. The Carolina Cash 5 ticket was purchased at Caton’s Grocery on 5416 Statesville Road in Charlotte. It was for the May 13th drawing. The ticket, worth $270,023, will expire this Friday, November 10th.

While it’s not millions or billions I’d gladly take an extra $270 grand pre-tax. So if you have it and think it’s not worth redeeming, let me know! The ticket matched all the white balls in the drawing and the numbers of those white balls are:

9-15-17-33-41

The odds of matching all five white balls in a Cash 5 drawing are 1 in 962,598.

To claim the prize, the ticket must be presented at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. The winner has until 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13 to present the ticket. While the ticket expires Nov. 10 the lottery office is closed that day for Veteran’s Day, so the winner will have one additional business day to claim the prize. This is in accordance with the 180 days winners are given to claim winnings. So you may want to dig through that drawer, check the glove box in your car, and find that purse you haven’t used since May. It may pay off for you with that winning lottery ticket.
