This North Carolina City Is The Most Stressed Out In The Nation
Stress is a part of life for most of us, whether it’s related to work, money or family. One of the most stressed-out cities in the country is right here in North Carolina! Research from the American Psychological Association shows that about 83% of Americans are currently stressed about inflation. Another 75% feel stressed about crime. But it turns out, where you live may impact how stressed you are. There’s a new report from WalletHub that reveals which cities are dealing with it best and worst.
Fayetteville, North Carolina has made the worst stressed cities list.
The NC city lands at number 8 on the list. Work stress and health and safety stress were tops, followed by financial and family stress.
- They compared 182 cities across 39 key metrics related to the areas of work stress, financial stress, family stress, and health & safety stress.
- They ranked each city on things including the average weekly work hours, unemployment rate, average annual household income and the divorce rate.
- Cleveland, Ohio, tops the list as the most stressed city in the country. It’s number one for financial stress, number two for health & safety stress and third for family stress.
- The least stressed city in the U.S. in 2023 is Burlington, Vermont. It’s at the bottom of the list for both financial stress and family stress and in the bottom 10 for health & safety stress. I guess I’m moving to Vermont!
