Shemar Moore Visits Mom’s Grave With Baby, Shares Emotional Message
Shemar Moore is keeping his promise to honor his late mother, Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore, on the three-year anniversary of her death. The 52-year-old actor, who welcomed his first child with girlfriend Jesiree Dizon last month, took to Instagram to share photos of a family outing to his mother’s grave.
In the sweet photo, which looks like it was taken from an aerial perspective, the S.W.A.T. actor is embracing both Dizon and baby Frankie to visit her late grandmother. While the moment was a somber one, it was also celebratory, with both Moore and Dizon sharing a glass of wine in Marilyn’s memory. Moore also placed two red roses on his mother’s grave, which reads: “this house is my sons’ home — mom. 1-26-20.” Also seen in the photo is one of her signature hats.
“Shemar, Jesiree, Frankie, and the spirit of Grandma Marilyn…..” Moore writes in the caption. “Mom’s dream was for me to become a father and give momma some grand babies… it took me a minute, but momma’s dream is now reality!! I accomplished much and experienced the good, the Great, the light, and the dark… but this I couldnt do on my own…”
The post continued, “Jesiree Dizon, we came back into each others lives and found love again and created a magical lil human together… I’ll call her ‘My little miracle’’….. FRANKIE MOORE. Jez, I love you and am so grateful… Daddy Loves Frankie… I love and miss you everyday Grandma Marilyn. RIP 2/8/20.”
Posting on Instagram one hour later, Moore shared the cutest video of him and baby Frankie cuddled up on the couch. Once he starts talking, his baby girl starts to smile. He captioned the short clip, “Daddy n Frankie… My New Partner in Crime.”
As we previously reported, Moore told Jennifer Hudson during an appearance on her talk show that he was going to make one of his late mother’s “dreams come true. Because, in real life, Shemar Moore is about to be a daddy.”
“I’m so excited. I’m sorry she can’t be here. I was worried for a while that it was a ‘that ship has sailed,’ kind of thing. But God had my back and things lined up.” Moore continued, “It’s going to be the best part of — my life is already pretty grand, but I know whenever God does call my name, once I get this experience, I’ll be able to go to heaven whole.”
