The Francene Marie Show

The Black Girls Film Camp is absolutely FREE and registration is open but closes January 15, 2022.  The popular film camp is entering its second year creating a space for Black girls to tell their stories through film. After applying here, the BGFC committee will go through applications and ten registrants will be chosen to participate. The 12-week intensive FREE camp gives all of the technological tools and software needed to create their own films. They will also be working closely with Black women filmmakers.

The organization is also looking for Black creative women coaches and ten professional editors contracted out. This helps each girl with the creation of their film. Camp creator and co-founder, Jimmeka Anderson’s doctorial research shows that offering a liberating space for Black girls to be their most authentic selves through film is key.
