Alex Rodriguez Opens Up After His Split With Jennifer Lopez
Alex Rodriguez has addressed his breakup with Jennifer Lopez for the first time since their April split — and he says he’s “grateful.”
The former Yankees player told Entertainment Tonight, “I had five years of an incredible life and partnership and also with my daughters, we learned so much. And now we have the opportunity to take that and move forward and say, ‘You know what? We’re so grateful for the last five years, how do we make the next five years better because of lessons learned?'”
A-Rod has yet to officially comment on Lopez’s current relationship with Ben Affleck, besides simply responding”Go Yankees” to a paparazzi asking him about the news, Yahoo! Entertainment reports. Lopez and Affleck seem to be serious, and recently took a getawa trip together.
46-year-old Rodriguez notes he’s “in a great place” and is focusing on “all the positive” things in his life. “I’m so grateful for where God and… the light has really put me, and I’m really looking forward. Mostly to see how my girls keep developing.”
Though it doesn’t seem there is any ill wishes from either party, J-Lo deleted all of her photos with Alex on her Instagram.
