Disneyland’s “Avengers Campus” to Open Friday
The newest Disneyland “land” is set to open this coming Friday, June 4th! Avengers Campus will be at Disney’s California Adventure Park in Anaheim, CA part of The Disneyland Resort. The land features two attractions- the previously opened “Guardians of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout” and the brand new “WEBSLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure”.
WEBSLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure
This attraction is family-friendly with no height requirement. It will use a “virtual line” reservation system where guests can get a place in line each day at 7 am or 12 pm. Below is the description of the ride from the Disneyland website.
Embark on an action-packed adventure alongside the amazing Spider-Man! When Peter Parker’s helpful but otherwise buggy Spider-Bots get stuck in replication mode and escape from a WEB Workshop, Spider-Man must stop the rampaging robots before they wreak total techno-havoc across Avengers Campus. Problem is, they’re rapidly leveling up and becoming tough to beat!
Your task? Hop aboard a WEB Slinger vehicle and help weave a frenzied web to trap these friendly neighborhood sidekicks in true Spidey style. It’s up to you to unleash your inner hero and save the Campus from complete chaos!
Guardians of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout
Mission Breakout is a rethemed version of “Tower of Terror”. It features the same elevator drop thrills but this time with a Guardians of The Galaxy theme. The ride has six different adventures so feel free to ride it over and over again.
But like any good theme park land, the rides are just the beginning. Avenger’s Campus features 4 themed food locations:
- Pym Test Kitchen– This quick-service restaurant is described as “Utilizing the revolutionary shrink-and-grow technology of Pym Particles, Ant-Man and The Wasp lead a team of research chefs as they pioneer a menu packed with inventive-sized entrees, tiny treats, and shareable bites that provide the perfect power-up.”
- Pym Tasting Lab- This is your spot to get specialty beers and cocktails.
- Shawarma Palace– Another “quick-service” restaurant featuring wraps and falafel.
- Terran Treats– Your Avenger’s Campus spot for a sweet treat.
Other activities include the “Ancient-Sanctum” where guests can explore the ancient ruins and come face to face with Dr. Strange. Also the “Avenger’s Headquarters” where you can meet your favorite Marvel characters including Iron Man, Black Panther, Thor, Black Panther, and many others.
Disneyland will open to out-of-state guests beginning June 15th so go ahead and plan your trip!
