TikTok and Former Vine Star Adam Perkins Is Dead at Age 24
Adam Perkins, a TikTok and former Vine social media personality, has passed away at 24 years old. His twin brother, Patrick Perkins, confirmed his death in an Instagram post on Tuesday. The cause of death has not been revealed.
Adam went viral in 2015 after posting the infamous “Welcome to Chili’s” vine. After Vine dissolved, he continued to make content for TikTok while going on to attend New York University to pursue a degree in music composition.
In Patrick Perkins’s Instagram post, he says, “i can’t even really put into words what this loss means for me. i’m often asked the question, ‘what’s it like to be a twin?’ and my response is usually, ‘what’s it like to NOT be a twin?’ being a twin is a very central part of my identity. it’s all i’ve known. and i’m struggling to find the words to explain what it will be like for me to live in this world without him. my best friend.”
Adam Perkins’s ex-partner, Kelton Elliot, also posted on Instagram, saying, “This past weekend my forever best friend and ex-boyfriend passed, and I’ve been devastated. We spent almost every day and night in 2020 and 2021 together…We were there for each other during the hardest year of our lives.”

Both Patrick and Kelton spoke on Adam’s music and how they were going to release a limited edition vinyl of Adam’s 2018 album Latch Relay.
