Jesse Plemons Joins Leonardo Di Caprio in Martin Scorsese’s Upcoming Film
Jesse Plemons will star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in an upcoming film, Killers of the Flower Moon, directed by Martin Scorsese. The film is a based-on-a-true-story crime thriller, according to Daily Mail, where Plemons plays the role of the lead FBI agent investigating a string of murders of Osage Nation Native Americans in 1920’s Oklahoma.
The role that Plemons landed was originally written for Leonardo DiCaprio, with the idea being to have him star as the traditional good guy of the movie. DiCaprio pushed to have his role changed to the nephew of the movie’s primary antagonist, played by Robert De Niro, IndieWire reports.
Killers Of The Flower Moon is adapted from David Grann’s award-winning true crime book of the same name.
Plemons had a supporting role in another Scorsese directed film, The Irishman, acting alongside De Niro as well. He has also appeared as creepy characters in recent films such as Netflix’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things and Game Night.
Jesse Plemons will be running Hollywood one day, and the simple fact of it is he’s deserved to since the “Frito Lay” line reading in GAME NIGHT pic.twitter.com/KHCOg8dHi7
