‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Could Take Ellen DeGeneres’ Spot
Ellen DeGeneres had a rough 2020, and it’s causing ratings from The Ellen DeGeneres Show to drop. Per Page Six, because of this, The Kelly Clarkson Show might take her slot.
They state about Ellen, “With just one year left on her existing deal, the multimillionaire host will enter talks about The Ellen DeGeneres Show next month. Her ratings have slipped 8 percent, according to official stats, and The Kelly Clarkson Show — which airs after Ellen in most syndication markets — could well take the Ellen show’s 3 p.m. slot if it comes to an end.”
They add that last year, the Kelly Clarkson Show was the most-watched new daytime talk show in seven years. Also, her ratings matched Ellen’s.
There is no word yet on if this is true from either Kelly or Ellen’s reps.
