Ellen DeGeneres Is Ready To Call It Quits On Her Show: Report
The Daily Mail reports that Ellen Degeneres is ready to pull the plug on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. They write, “Ellen DeGeneres is telling show executives she’s had enough and is ready to call it quits as staffers slam her apology and claim she’s the problem and has enabled the toxic culture at the show to go on for so long.”
They add they can exclusively say that Ellen is telling executives at Telepictures and Warner Bros that she has had enough and wants to walk away from the show. According to a source, “She feels she can’t go on and the only way to recover her personal brand from this is to shut down the show. The truth is she knew what was going on, it’s her show. The buck stops with her. She can blame every executive under the sun – but Ellen is ultimately the one to blame.”
This is after multiple reports surfaced about the talk show host being unkind, and about her show having a toxic workplace environment. There was also the recent story we reported on staff members saying they’ve dealt or seen sexual misconduct from a senior producer while working for Ellen.
Since allegations have surfaced, The Ellen DeGeneres Show is under investigation by WarnerMedia. Ellen has also sent out an apology to her team. Unfortunately, everyone isn’t buying her apology.
As one employee said to Daily Mail, “Don’t think for a minute anything she has said in that apology means anything. She created and then enabled this toxic culture to go on for so long. If anyone had come to her or those three vile [executive producers] to complain, they would’ve been fired.”
